Nokia Maps Coming to ALL Windows Phones Soon
November 1, 2011 1 CommentWe can be using Nokia Maps on our HTC, Samsung, LG, etc. devices as early as only a few weeks. CNET reports that even though Nokia Drive and Nokia Music might be exclusive to branded Nokia devices. Nokia Maps will be making the jump to all other devices. The app will be available for free for everyone but will not support Voice navigation or offline maps.
This version of Nokia Maps will NOT support offline maps or voice guided navigation, but does have the following features:
- Local POI details (provides you location, phone number, reviews, and photos of up to 25 locations in your vicinity)
- Deep link support (you can pin destinations to the Start screen)
- Detailed maps in satellite, 2D, and 3D views
Remember, we did find Nokia 3D maps on the marketplace already early last month.
Those of you that aren’t making the jump to Nokia devices and are salivating at the HTC Titan or Samsung Focus S will still have to lean to apps like Navigon, Garmin and GPS Voice Navigation.
