Splinter Cell: Conviction First “Rated M” Windows Phone Game This Fall

August 16, 2011 No Comments

This morning we posted about the new Xbox Live games that will be hitting the Windows Phone platform soon. As awesome as it was to hear that games like Kinectimals, Bug Village and Farm Frenzy 2 were coming to Windows Phone, Xbox was built around mature gaming. Don’t get me wrong, casual games are probably the most important types of games to have on a mobile platform. Some gamers though have come to Windows Phone because of Xbox. Even though Kinect is very popular right now and it should be.( Playing Kinect with my family is great, especially recently with the launch of Fruit Ninja Kinect.) When gamers think Xbox they think Halo, Mass Effect, Call of Duty, etc.  and I believe that is what Windows Phone needs.

Finally we are going to have our first Rate M for mature game on Windows Phone. Splinter Cell Conviction has been slated to launch this fall for Windows Phone. As amazing as I hope the game will be, the most important thing to me is what follows. We need hard hitting games that the more serious gamers can get into.

I can’t wait for Splinter Cell: Conviction to be available on Windows Phone later this year. Hopefully it wont end there and we also get a taste of games like Grand Theft Auto.
