Game Review: Spades

Spades

With all the great games available on Windows Phone, sometimes a good card game is all you need. For all of you that like the card game spades then…. ummm Spades is the game for you. Apparently Jake Poznanski the developer of the app felt that the game didn’t need any new fancy title and the official name would do it just fine.

The user interface is simply perfect. The developer has made it so easy to play and so difficult to mess up. When you press on your hand to make a play the cards expand and divide in order by suit.

The visuals are quite impressive and are done with the quality of Full House Poker. Of course putting aside the fact Full House Poker has avatars active on the screen. The app itself is pretty speedy, pressing on the icon in the game hub to playing a game only takes about 3 seconds.

The game is completely free, supported with ads. The ads though are integrated in such a way that they do not get in the way of gameplay. They do not even take any screen space while you are playing. It just pops out after a round is done inside the scoreboard… that’s it. Spades on the Windows Phone is a great card game done right. The only negative thing I can say about this game is the AI still needs a bit of tweaking.

If you want to play Spades on your Windows Phone, then this game is for you.
