IM+ Going Open Beta Soon: Developer Phones Only

May 13, 2011 No Comments

We are finally getting closer to getting a solid messenger app for Windows Phone. With the news of Kik coming soon and IM+ hitting beta. The IM+ team has announced that now they will be hitting open Beta. Yep! Next week they will be announcing the full details behind this open beta that is obviously available for anyone with a developer phone. On Facebook they had this to say….

Dear WP7 users! Thank you so much for your interest to be the first to try IM+ on WP7 platform!
We’re sorry for the delay, the development for this platform takes a bit longer than we expected. Anyway, good news for today: the beta testing will be public. However due to technical restrictions you will need the Developer’ phone to participate in beta testing. More details on beta will be announced next week.

Remember IM+ will support the following services.

  • MSN
  • Yahoo
  • Gtalk
  • Aim
  • Myspace
  • Jabber
  • ICQ
  • Facebook
  • Skype
  • Twitter

No word yet when we should be expecting the app in the marketplace.
