IM+ Goes Beta This Month To Save Us From WP7 IM Woes

April 7, 2011 1 Comment

I love my Windows Phone 7 device, HTC HD7 to be exact. Now that NoDo (March Update) is finally on my phone, I have even less to gripe about my awesome phone. One thing though that has plagued all of us Windows Phone users is the lack of Instant Messenger on the OS. I mean literally we have no official IM clients!

We do have a hand full of 3rd party clients that connect you to the likes of Windows Live messenger, Facebook and Gtalk but they are really subpar. Even the mighty Flory has come around to disappoint us. So much that we had to even publish a step by step guide to connecting it to Facebook.

Now comes word that there might be a savior upon the horizon.

IM+ will be headed to BETA soon (Sometime this month) and it will handle all our IM needs (hopefully). The list of Instant Messengers they connect to are as follows…

  • MSN
  • Yahoo
  • Gtalk,Aim
  • Myspace
  • Jabber
  • ICQ
  • Facebook
  • Skype
  • Twitter

That is one heavy duty list!

We will wait and see if IM+ finally gives us WP7 users some IM love
