Mango: New Samsung Omnia 7 Firmware Leaked

September 6, 2011 No Comments

Mango Firmware for the Samsung Omnia 7 has leaked via SamFirmware. The following are the details for the firmware and Mobiletechworlds list of new features after flashing the firmware for Mango.

  • Firmware: I8700XXKH2. (Mango)
  • Filesize: 355+/- MB (.rar file)
  • XX = Europe
  • K = 2011
  • H = August
  • 2 = Version

New Features:

  • Updated camera driver: Touch-focus now works (instead of simply touch-to-capture), Bing Vision no longer looses focus and correctly adjusts the white balance in low light environments.
  • Updated Motion Sensors driver: Digital Compass is now faster and more accurate. The accelerator is also faster when switching orientation in Internet Explorer.
  • Updated Radio software: WiFi and Cellular data transfers appear to be faster (applications downloads are faster as are page loading times in IE9)
  • The hidden WiFi Network feature is now available.
  • Bing Music is now faster and more accurate (updated mic driver + radio update I guess)
  • Option to select 2G or 3G data connection. Not really new but nice to have it back (thanks for the reminder in the comments)
