The Weak Specifications For Rumored ‘Samsung Omnia W’ – Not Real

August 12, 2011 No Comments

The rumored phone specs for the “Samsung Omnia W” that were floating around the Internet and that we questioned yesterday were all false. Samsung posted a few words this morning stating:

“Some media have been reporting that Samsung is preparing to launch nine new smartphones and two new tablet devices. While Samsung is continuously working on new devices for our customers, the details being cited are not accurate in this case.

We appreciate the interest in our upcoming mobile devices and will share more information once its available.”

That same rumor also brought up the name Samsung Omnia W – so clearly that quite possibly can be perceived as false also. This upcoming Mango update is almost like a Windows Phone refresh. It is everyones chance to wipe the slate clean and start with a new line of devices. I highly doubt that Samsung would go the route of launching a Mango powered phone with the same specs as their previous 1 year old devices.
