Microsoft Introduces Mobile Test Drive

June 17, 2011 No Comments

With IE9 launching and IE10 demoed, Microsoft had built a site where you can ‘test drive’ your browser. Joe Marini (Principal Program Manager for Internet Explorer on Windows Phone) has detailed a new site where we publish various Web development samples that highlight features and capabilities of the new mobile Internet Explorer (IE9).

Windows Phone IE9 is needed for the samples so you must wait till Mango, unless you are a developer and already have the Windows Phone developer tools.

Microsoft will be adding more samples in the future. To kick things off, the first 15 samples available on the Mobile Test Drive
will be:

  • Audio Player (from MIX11)
  • Geolocation
  • Border Radius
  • DOM Local Storage
  • Scalable Vector Graphics
  • CSS3 Media Queries
  • DOMContentLoaded
  • FishIE Tank
  • Speed Reading (from MIX11)
  • Animated Text
  • HamsterDance Revolution
  • Business Charts
  • IE Logo
  • Video Panorama
  • Browser Control Theming

You can visit the Mobile Test Drive now
