Update: AT&T Scheduling HTC Surround Update (7932) and in Final Testing Phase of NoDo for Samsung Focus

June 16, 2011 No Comments

AT&T is finally playing catch up with their device updates. They are finally scheduling update 7932 for the HTC Surroung with “Other models to follow”, this according to the Windows Phone Blog. Update 7932 aims to protect its’ users from fraudulent SSL certificates issued by certification authority Comodo.

In reference to the Samsung Focus, which had some devices experiencing difficulty with the NoDo update due to some devices having  an “alternate memory component”, Michael Stroh posted on the Windows Phone Blog saying:

We’ve also made progress on getting the remaining Samsung Focus models updated. We’ve worked through the last of the technical hurdles with AT&T and Samsung, and are now actively scheduling the final set of tests and the subsequent roll out of updates to Focus handsets with the alternate memory. I don’t have hard dates yet.

Whatever these issues are they need to make sure that they have everything in order for Mango, people have been more than patient but I doubt that they will continue to be if these issues arrise with the Mango update.
