We hear stories on the internet all the time from people who just had a horrible time trying to get their Windows Phone 7 device. Imagine all the people then that have walked into stores wanting a Windows Phones to only be mocked and/ or sold another device. I believe that this is probably one of the biggest reasons for the slow sales these first couple of months.

Have you ever walked into a store or called in to only have the rep try to sell you on another platform? Be it an Android device or iPhone?

A Windows enthusiast, Robert McLaws has begun a to try and highlight the problem to Microsoft. He has created a OneNote folder called ‘Windows Phone 7 Sales Issues’ . You can go there and post about your past issues with purchasing a Windows Phone. There’s many stories on there already like this…

  • Salesperson: unknown
  • Phones on display: Samsung Focus (uncharged), LG Quantum (uncharged)
  • Issues: I specifically ask to see the Samsung Focus, but sale representative immediately show me how “great” the HTC Inspire is. I told him, I want a Samsung Focus, but he flat out refuse to sell to me the Focus. I told him about Windows Phone, but it felt to deaf ears.

Any of you have similar stories?
