Game Review: Danger Wing
June 2, 2011 No CommentsDanger Wing is a completely free game that puts you in the role of a pilot of your own fighter/spaceship. You get missions detailed during very entertaining cut-scenes that actually contain (gasp) an actual story. Too many games now a days onany mobile platform are missing an actual story behind the madness. The hand drawn characters on the cut-scenes after the missions and the conversations amongst them are a real treat .
The game itself has you going against space pirates. You go against a good amount of different kind of enemies all with their unique flying and weapons. The game itself feels like a modernized 1980’s arcade game. Instead of dying after a shot or 2 you actually have a health meter on the sides and can pick up a good amount of weapon upgrades that carry over to the next level.

Flying around and controlling your ship is also a breeze. The controls are very tight and also simple to play. Different challenges and leaderboards also add to the expereience.
Danger Wing developed by Paul Hoenecke is a really fun free game on Windows Phone 7 that should be picked up, especially if you are a fan of old school games. My only complaint is that it might run a bit short but it does look like the developer will be adding more levels in the future.
