Nokia Kills OVI Brand in Favor of Nokia Services

May 16, 2011 No Comments

Well this just makes sense for Nokia…

Nokia’s Ovi Store, Ovi Maps, and Ovi etc. will now just be called Nokia Services. Now that all those services will be on Windows Phone, it makes sense for Nokia to put their signiture on every product.

Nokia WP7 devices cannot come any faster!

In that same token there also has been rumors flying about that Nokia will be running the whole back end to Bing Maps. Which makes sense also since Bing already uses some of Nokia’s tech for Bing maps. Microsoft has put alot of money on Bing Maps in general though so we will see what comes out of these rumors.
