Mango Update Will Make Navigating Through Your Phone Easier

April 13, 2011 No Comments

Applications are one the best functions of a smartphone. With Windows Phone 7, you have to scroll down a long list of apps to open an app if it hasn’t been pinned to the homescreen. The Mango update due this Fall is set to change the way we navigate through our phones.

One way that they plan to do this is to seperate the Marketplace search with side swipe categories to help you find what you are looking for quicker.

Another app navigation method focuses on the apps you already have downloaded onto your phone. With this tool you will be able to simply open a list of the alphabet and choose the first letter of the name of the app and all apps beginning with that letter will be listed, much like the method that one can use to search through the phonebook.

The last method that I will mention is the ability to multitask. Yup you read that correctly. Multitasking will be coming to Wp7. Obviously with this method you can have multiple apps running and you will be  able to navigate through them by side scrolling.
