Windows 8 leaked ‘Immersive’ mode: Influenced By Windows Phone 7

April 6, 2011 No Comments

Looks like Microsoft is going ALL IN on Windows Phone and the Metro UI. If the brand spanking new Microsoft site doesn’t make you a believer – which it should since the new site looks amazing in all it’s Metro UI glory. Check out this leaked image of Windows 8’s ‘Immersive mode’ by Rafael Rivera & Paul Thurrot.

The Metro UI like interface is dubbed ‘Immersive mode’ and it will be the secondary UI that you can choose to boot up with. It will also be the default on tablets and phone alike. Microsoft has spoken time and time again about unifying all their products and this time I am really starting to believe them. The OS is supposedly scheduled sometime in 2012.

Thanks @SantoTheWriter for the tip!
