Game Review: Impossible ShootaMarch 21, 2011 No Comments
Impossible Shoota is another great free game by Elbert Perez. It is a fast paced, action packed game that has a knack for getting you to play time and time again. The objective is simple, stay alive as long as you can. You do this by navigating your ship with you finger and nothing else. Your ship shoots on its on and weapons get upgraded as you pass to the next level. But here is the tricky part, there are 25 different enemies you can encounter. All with different movement patterns, speed and different levels of toughness as some take extra shots to bring down.
The controls are very well done and was surprised to see how well my ship reacted, even at times when the screen would be filled with enemy ships. A very cool feature this game has is that it also gives you 3 bombs that you can use to wipe out all the enemies at one time. The catch is that you can use that power-up only once every 4 hours. It sucks having to wait that long but it does set a mental reminder to pick it up later in the day.
This game is perfect for big fans of old school arcade or a WP7 user looking for a great free game
You are the last survivor of your race, the elite pilot known as Starboxer. Your last and only mission is to take out as many Sho-dan ships as possible before crumbling to their relentless march. Level up your ship by destryoing Sho-dan ships and teleport around the battlefield to gain tactical advantage to avoid an early demise. It requires skill to live up to your reputation and you will remind the Sho-dan armada why you have that name.
- Intense shooter action again an endless swarm of enemies
- Fight 25 different enemies as you rampage through the Sho-dan armada
- Post your scores online against other Starboxers
Thanks to community feedback I implemented touch controls while preserving the original control scheme. Also Lives have been implemented into the game, now you can last longer against the evil Sho-dan armada!
More community feedback implemented! I’ve now added bombs to the game! However these bombs are special as they only show up every 4 hours regardless if you play or not.
