Windows Phone 7 Climbing That Totem Pole

Many people have their doubts about WP7 being a contender against other popular smartphone OS’s but recent studies are proving that WP7 seems to be winning people over. A two part poll (I don’t know why there is so much poll data being released recently) by ZDNet asked their readers ” what is your current smartphone”, Android got the most votes there taking 35% while Windows Phone 7 got 15%. In the next part of the poll ZDNet asks ” What will be your next smartphone?”, Android again took the lead with 43% however WP7 came in second with 26% of the votes.

The iPhone went from 20% to 18% which has me wondering how many iPhone users are getting ready to make the switch to WP7? I sincerely believe that once people are more familiar with Windows Phone 7 it will see a whole lot more people giving it the chance it deserves.
