Rumor: New Minimum Requirements to be Announced Next Week

We have heard rumors before about things like front-facing cameras on WP7 devices and the huge update that is supposed to hit in late this year that turns WP7 into WP7.5 (Codename Mango). But this rumor takes things a step further. The word is spreading around the internet that next week, Microsoft will be detailing new minimum hardware requirements for phone makers.

That is a pretty bold rumor to say the least. Not only has it only been a few months since the platform has launched, but the MWC is in a few days. Could this be because of the the also rumored Nokia deal or a front facing camera? Could this just be a CPU/RAM bump? If this is all true, we are going to have one eventful Mobile World Congress.
