Updated:Microsoft Takes Next Step in WP7 Update- Zune Software Update Available

As we wait for the update to Windows Phone 7,we have some news that you might enjoy. You can now download a new version of the Zune desktop software. You can also force update by going into settings on your Zune software, then go to general and once there you can have the program check for updates for you.It was speculated that this software update should give you the ability to backup your windows phone during the “NoDo” windows phone update. It is exciting to see that we will soon be getting our much anticipated Windows Phone update.

 UPDATE: According to Microsoft.com this update is in fact the beginning of the update for WP7

You will have to update the Windows Mobile Device Updater (ZuneWmdu.dll) component of the Zune software to version 4.7.1407.0 or later versions. This software update is intended for use with Zune 4.7 software and is covered by the terms in the Zune 4.7 End User License Agreement (EULA). By downloading this update you agree to the terms of the accompanying Zune 4.7 EULA.
