The Halo experience on Windows Phone 7

December 8, 2010 No Comments

As I wait for the day that I am able to play my beloved Halo on a Windows Phone (it has to be in the works… Right? ). We have a few apps to keep us in the game until that glorious day comes.

Halo Waypoint: The first app comes to us from Microsoft directly. It is a mobile version of Halo Way-point on the 360. You can view videos, images and read up on the latest news from our favorite franchise. Its definitely a must install for any Halo fan.

Reach Central: This app is brought to us by Juan Bizoso. If you enjoy browsing through the latest games you played and checking out your stats from last nights gaming session, this is the Halo app for you. Check out K/D spread, assists and medals earned from your last few games. Things that I wish were included with Halo Way-point you can find here.

Daily Reach: This is the 3rd and final app we have for any Halo related WP7 app. Created by AdaptDev, this app is unlike the others since it has one sole purpose. It keeps track of all the set daily challenges and has a live tracker to show how much you have completed. This is a great little app for me since I am always clueless as to what the daily challenges are. I am always playing matchmaking when I should be playing firefight and vice-versa. Another thing is that on the console once you have completed a challenge you can’t go back and check what it it was even for. This app has definitely been very useful to me.

The best part of this all is that they are all great Halo apps and all free.
