Windows Phone 8.1 To Feature Native Folder Support In A Future Update

June 29, 2014 No Comments

Coming soon to Windows Phone is the much anticipated feature that so many have suggested but only received by way of third party apps. Native (yes, you heard me) native support for app folders is set to come with a future update of the Windows Phone 8.1 platform, launching soon! Below is a screen shot of the WindowsPhone site as it clearly list the feature in the “How-To” section of the site.

Sources indicate that the feature won’t come until a GDR1 update of the Windows Phone 8.1 OS which could be completed in July and shipped with an over-the-air update shortly afterwards. It is said that Windows Phone 8.1 is expecting not just this one update but to receive at the least two more OS updates in 2014 and the beginning of 2015
