A “Beloved Microsoft Franchise” Currently In Development For Windows 8December 15, 2013 No Comments
A recent Microsoft Game Studios job posting is giving new clues on what Microsoft is getting ready to bring to Windows 8 gamers in 2014/2015. They are now looking for a senior engineer with services development experience to join their team to help build a new title based on a “beloved franchise” for Windows 8. The franchise is unknown at the moment but could range anywhere from Banjo-Kazooie to Gears Of Waror any one of their vast number of intellectual properties currently sitting and collecting dust.
Although Microsoft isn’t revealing the actual IP (although GoW would be awesome) we do know that the Redmond-based team is focused on “building a robust and highly scalable cloud service that is central to the game experience”, meaning that this game will be played by Jesus himself…Ok, maybe not, but this game will feature and rely heavily on the new reinforced service that is powering Xbox One titles such as Forza Motorsport 5 and the upcoming Titanfall..Lets just hope the title caters to a massive audience and isn’t one to fall by the wayside like the like of the recently resurrected TY the Tasmanian Tiger, now available on Windows 8. What titles would you like to see on Windows Phone/Windows 8 in the next year?
