Surface RT Was Indeed Confusing Says MicrosoftOctober 13, 2013 No Comments
It seems Microsoft is owning up to a few mistakes made with the original launch of the original surface when it failed to properly inform the public on the Windows RT operating system. Below is a comment made by Microsoft’s product marketing manager for Surface, Jack Cowett. Take a look:
“We think that there was some confusion in the market last year on the difference between Surface RT and Surface Pro. We want to help make it easier for people, and these are two different products designed for two different people.”
That’s putting it lightly, but we all know these things in fact take time. I remember working at an electronic retail store (BB) where even my own co-worker was convinced since he didn’t have an iPhone, that he in fact had, by default “an android phone powered by Windows”. As ridicules as that may sound, it is a sad truth that people are still unaware of what they even own in some cases, let alone a new type of Windows such as RT. If we give it enough time and make it clearer, people will start to get it in the long run.
