Microsoft Now Streaming Halo 4 from the cloud to Windows Phones and Windows Devices
October 4, 2013 No CommentsMicrosoft is hard at work on a new Xbox streaming service that as of now is still without a name. Company officials recently demonstrated a prototype of said service behind closed doors using Halo 4, Windows machine and a Lumia 520 Windows Phone.
TheVerge is reporting that sources familiar with the meeting say that Microsoft streamed Halo 4 and it was able to be played smoothly on even the mid to low rangle Nokia Lumia 520 with just 45ms latency.
Can you imagine when/if this service comes live, the ability to stream full Xbox One games to your laptop, tablet and Windows Phone? Always having that constant connection to your whole library no matter how far you are away from your house. Another reason why this is amazing is that this can also be a way that Microsoft can make the Xbox One backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games.
I can’t wait to hear more about the service.
