Some Microsoft Shareholders Want Bill Gates Out As Well?October 2, 2013 No Comments
With Steve Ballmer announcing his retirement announcement a few weeks ago, Reuters is reporting that three of the top 20 Microsoft shareholders want Bill Gates to resign as chairman.
Dan Ferris, investment analyst at Stansberry & Associates Investment Research
“If both Gates and Ballmer are out, and better capital allocators are in, Microsoft’s stock will hit $40 within the next several months,” … “If Gates announces his resignation, the stock will rally.”
Microsoft has recorded record revenues topping $73 billion in its last fiscal year among other things but this seems to be only about stocks and putting more money in said shareholders pockets.
Dan Ferris also noted
“If good capital allocators take over the top two spots at Microsoft, the whole world will wish it listened to me one of the few dozen times I recommended the stock since I first started covering it in 2006,”
Do you think it would be a good idea for Microsoft to push Gates out too? I honestly couldn’t even imagine a Microsoft without Gates and I honestly wouldn’t want to. I would even be pretty glad to see him as CEO again (even though that would never happen).
