You can now connect to devices around your home on your Windows Phone 8 device with Nokia’s Device Hub which is at the moment available in Beta form only.

Nokia Device Hub recommends Windows Phone applications which work with your devices. Pin a device to the home screen to get easy access to all the apps which work with it.
The Nokia Device Hub Beta solution discovers devices on your local Wifi network using different discovery protocols, and intelligently combines this information to deduce what a device is capable of – while making an emphasis to hide this technologic complexity about different protocols.
The information is then used to query a web service if there are any Nokia or 3rd party Windows Phone applications which can make use of this device, allowing you to fully utilize your devices’ potential.
