Scary: Nokia Lumia’s Running Android Were Indeed In TestingSeptember 13, 2013 2 Comments
Long ago, in a mystical land of unicorns and fairies, there existed such a bizzaro device in testing that would be a devastating blow to the Windows Phone Community and an even bigger blow to Nokia in the end. The New York Times reports on Nokia’s decision to create a monster baby device below:
A team within Nokia had Android up and running on the company’s Lumia handsets well before Microsoft and Nokia began negotiating Microsoft’s $7.2 billion acquisition of Nokia’s mobile phone and services business, according to two people briefed on the effort who declined to be identified because the project was confidential. Microsoft executives were aware of the existence of the project.
That was enough right then and there for Microsoft to decide on making the right move in getting its super silky, smooth, fast, sexy chocolate Windows Phone OS to be the only one operating system to touch a Nokia device…Thank God we aren’t living a Fringe “alternate universe” right now cause we’d all be screwed…MBGWTags: Android, fringe, Lumia, Nokia, NYTimes, vergeNews
