Microsoft Beats Google’s Motorola in Patent Trial – Awarded $14 MillionSeptember 4, 2013 No Comments
Microsoft has recently beat Google’s Motorola in court concerning Motorola Mobility’s licensing of so-called standard essential patents used in Microsoft products. Microsoft was awarded about 1/2 the money it asked for as they took in about $14 million in damages.
”This is a landmark win for all who want products that are affordable and work well together,” Microsoft said in a statement.
“We’re disappointed in this outcome, but look forward to an appeal of the new legal issues raised in this case,” “In the meantime, we’ll focus on building great products that people love.”
