Microsoft Announces 55,000 Active ‘Windows Phone App Studio’ Projects – Adds New Features

Microsoft has recently announced that its new ‘Windows Phone App Studio’ beta has surpassed 55,000 active projects. Due to the massive amounts of folks currently trying out the new service which allows you to created Windows Phone apps with no code, they have developed a temporary access code system.

The Windows Phone Team has also plugged away at making the service simpler to use and more robust.

New Features and Fixes

  • additional external data sources
  • improving code legibility
  • new templates
  • adding Flickr as a data source
  • improve the overall performance and scalability of the system
