Nokia Lumia 920 Cinemastyle Episode 1 (beautiful video shot with 920)May 27, 2013 1 Comment
Here is an amazing video shot entirely shot with a Nokia Lumia 920.
Check it out!
Remember to watch this in full resolution 1080p for highest quality.
This was shot in Sweden at a nature reserve, in 1080p 30 fps, then interpreted to 24 fps for some lovely slowmotion.
I used my earlier rig (with some tape) that I used for my other “Cinemastyle” videos that I shot with the Nokia 808 Pureview.
See some older pictures from the 808 behind the scenes here – http://iamchriswest.tumblr.com/post/4…
I did use a matte box to block out the hard sunlight with a ND filter, swapped between a 2 stop and 4 stop ND (Guessing which one that were appropriate for the scene). And a polarizer to make the sky blue and the sea more transparent.
Same as I would use if I shot this with a Canon C300, 5D or any other camera!
I did some tweaking to the overall image in magic bullet colorista, and tried to save some highlights in premiere pro cause the 920 wanted to overexpose a couple of scenes.
Same as I would do if I shot this with a Canon C300, 5D or any other camera!
One thing I must say about the 920 vs the 808 is the level of customization you can do in the 808 to the image it outputs. The things you can do in the 920 is…nothing!
You cant adjust the exposure or what to focus on or dial down contrast or saturation. This is where Nokia needs to give us some more options in the Lumia lineup!
Anyways, I managed to make the Lumia 920 look good either way
And one more thing, the sounds from the sea is recorded using professional equipment this is NOT recorded with the phone!
And thank you Fredrik for being in it
