Voice-Controlled Camera for Windows Phone Patented By MicrosoftMay 19, 2013 2 Comments
Nearly two years ago, Microsoft filed a patented that gives them the exclusive rights and ability to use the Windows Phone and other devices as a personal “voice controlled camera”.
The fine folks at PatentBolt.com has discovered Microsoft’s design and patent as it relates to a device such as, a tablet, camera, smartphone or any other device that can capture pictures. It allows for the camera to capture images based on nothing more than a simple voice command. Check out the patent Fig 4 below:
Microsoft’s new patent could directly relate to the next Xbox (being announced this Tuesday!) which is said to include some form of Kinect which has everything necessary in making this feature prominent at launch.
The patent application(S/N)297116) was filed back in 2011 and the US Patent and Trademark Office published it in the beginning of the month. We can only hope to see this cool feature added to our Microsoft devices very soon!..(like, Tuesday at 10PST would be awesome)..MBGWTags: 297116, controlled, image, Microsoft, patent bolt, reddit, US Patent, voice, xboxAbout, Apps, Games, Misc., News, Phones
