Microsoft’s Surface Outselling Samsung’s Nexus 10 by More Than Double?

April 18, 2013 2 Comments

Microsoft’s Surface RT and Windows RT machines aren’t selling as much as we (and Microsoft) would like. Things like AAA apps and games are still few and far in between (still waiting on Sims love from EA). Samsung might be rethinking their strategy as their Google driven Nexus 10 looks to be doing pretty bad.

Strategy analyst Benedict Evans (via Daring Fireball) did some crazy number-crunching on Nexus sales based on Google development data. He states that only 680,000 Nexus 10 tablets in are being used in the wild. This is of course horrible, especially when compared to the 1.5m rumored Microsoft Surface sales.

Samsung, HP and others have turned their backs on Windows RT but it looks like it might just be needing some love from OEM’s (and apps from developers).
