USPTO: Nokia Tablet Keyboard Shown OffApril 11, 2013 2 Comments
More proof that Nokia is working on a Windows tablet of their own.
We have heard story after story about how Nokia is working on a Windows tablet to match their Lumia line (1,2,3,4,5). Even Stephen Elop himself has spoken up about it on occasion (1,2). Nokia has even begun to infiltrate the Windows Store as they made their Nokia Music app to all Windows 8 and Windows RT devices. Recently, we possibly even saw an exclusive Windows app in the works from the company.
Now a patent has surfaced showing off a Nokia tablet with a special keyboard.
An apparatus including a first section having a display; and a second section movably connected to the first section. The second section forms a cover for the display. The cover has a first portion and a second portion movably connected to the first portion. The first and second portions are configured to cover different portions of a front of the display. The second portion is pivotably connected to the first section by the first portion. The second portion has a keyboard thereon.
Hopefully, we are that much closer to seeing a Nokia tablet running Windows come to life.
