“Injustice: Gods Among Us” Mobile Game Released For iOS.. Not Windows PhoneApril 4, 2013 4 Comments
So your probably reading the title and scratching your head right about now. Yes, call this article a rant or a rave if you would like, but this is getting to be a real pain for me. The guys from NetherRealm Studios, Warner Bros and DC have released a version of the console game with the same name Injustice: Gods Among Us to the Apple App Store. The game features epic battles between your favorite DC hero’s and villains in gorgeous fashion and unique gameplay. To top it all off, it is a free to play collectible card game that allows you to build a roster of playable characters, moves and powers and enter the arena in touch based 3 on 3 combat. The trailer below will show you just how the gameplay works and how you should be a little mad at someone at Microsoft too.
Now, just think for a second before you protest that I’m being to critical…WE have a phone that comes from the same company producing the number 1 selling gaming platform for the 29th consecutive week in a row. The Xbox 360, Microsoft’s biggest leverage for bringing gaming studios over to the Windows Phone, in my own opinion has been used simply horribly. With the recent game releases and the incompatibility with games coming out of even the Microsoft Studio’s camp, it seems Microsoft’s main goal now is just getting “A title” released every week. We here at WP7Connect love the fact that at the least this is happening, but games like the mentioned above should be released in some form with the Xbox 360 counter part when it releases April, 19th. Quality apps and games will make our platform a success in the end, not rehashes of the typical physics puzzlers. Microsoft has got to step up and deliver exclusive games that are selling points to customers that are on the fence about the Windows Phone. We all know Microsoft has the power to do exceedingly, abundantly what we could ever ask or think when it comes to games, lets just hope they put even more effort into Windows Phones in the near future..Rant over…MBGW
