Nvidia on Windows RT: Disappointed in Sales but Recognizes Potential
March 20, 2013 1 CommentNvidia CEO Jen Hsun Huang has tons to say about Windows RT and how it has done in the market. Speaking to financial analysts Nvidia’s GPU Technology Conference in San Jose, California, he lets the crowd know that he is disappointed so far with how little the OS is selling.
Nvidia CEO
“We expected to have sold more than we did,” “I think everybody expected to have sold more than we did.”
He added that Microsoft should keep on working on it though as it holds tons of potential.
“They have to find a way to get into that ecosystem because it’s so disruptive. I think it’s of some importance to Microsoft to continue to invest in RT,”
He also noted that Microsoft needs to push more of their ecosystem into the product like outlook.
”If Outlook were to show up on RT, my life would be complete,” “I am one Outlook away from computing nirvana. Outlook god, please…”
“They own the source code and I know there are smart people up there.”
I for one love where Windows RT is going. The one thing that I can complain about are the number and quality of apps currently available for it. I think however that will soon change as Windows 8 continues to sell and developers begin to really harness its power.
