HTC’s innovative design philosophy of simple, crafted and human has led to the creation of products that push the boundaries of materials, innovation and creativity. Today, HTC is proud to announce that its work has been recognized with the prestigious “red dot award: product design 2013” for the Windows Phone 8X and 8S by HTC!
One of the world’s largest and most respected design competitions, the red dot design award recognized HTC for “exceptional high-quality design that also serves as an essential part of an innovative product solution.” HTC’s smartphones triumphed over a field of devices that included more than 1,800 designers and companies from 54 countries submitting more than 4,600 products to the awards.
HTC’s focus on iconic design continues with our latest creation announced last month, the new HTC One.
- In keeping with HTC’s history of delivering industry firsts, HTC is the first company in the world to successfully create a full-metal phone with the new HTC One.
- The zero-gap aluminum unibody and tapered edges on the HTC One deliver a pure design with clean lines and curves – with no extraneous details.
- The new HTC One also integrates the antenna in the device into the aluminum while retaining an ultra-thin feel.
