Intel Seeks Windows Phone Engineers For Rumored x86 Windows Phones
February 2, 2013 No CommentsA new job post made its way to LinkedIn recently from Intel in which they are seeking to hire Windows Phone engineers in Redmond for an x86 Windows Phone device. A product manager for Windows Phone said recently that their “architecture is such that it’s hardware independent,” meaning that Windows Phone is more than capable to run on Intel’s x86 processors. Intel most recently released Android devices with the x86 chips inside featuring the Intel Atom Z2460 chipset. Windows Phone devices only use Qualcomm chips as of now, but with the job posting below, it would seem that most are now getting into the game.

Microsoft has “nothing to announce at this time” in regards to Intel and Windows Phone, but our bets are that they’ll be coming faster than you can say ”PC games on my new Windows Phone 9, is better than the invention of sliced bread”….MBGW
