Portico Update Lands in Russia (Nokia Lumia Devices)

A few days ago, we listed Australia, Germany and Italy as places that have joined the US and Canada in receiving the Portico update for their Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices.

Yesterday, this image above was posted online showing that the update has made it to Russia.

Update (10211) Portico consists of:  (translated with Bing)

  • Improved application messages. Now you can automatically save drafts of messages, and return to them later and edit or post.
  • In your application you’ll see a new “phone” functionality, which allows for hanging up a call send a text message from budgeted in advance options. For example, the classic “I’m busy, please call back later.
  • Internet Explorer Enhancements. Available settings which allow you to disable automatic downloading of images on web pages. This will save money on the account as well as speed up browsing. Also, now of history you can delete individual pages.
  • Improved Wi-Fi connectivity. Now Windows Phone 8 will track what networks you use most frequently and automatically connect to it.
