Microsoft to Help Finance Dell Going Private? (Investing $3 Billion)January 22, 2013 1 Comment
Last week, rumors spread of Dell going private and taking the company off of the market. Looks like Microsoft might be helping in making that happen.
CNBC is reporting that Microsoft may be investing between $1 billion and $3 billion in Dell to help make all of that possible. Microsoft is supposedly also in talks with investment firm Silver Lake witch is behind the actual buyout.
What will the mean to the PC world? Microsoft is already making PC hardware – is there a lot more Surface goodness to come? Are full ‘Surface’ desktops far behind?
We all should be finding out soon enough as this all might unfold by the end of the week.
