Music Video Shot Entirely With Nokia Lumia 920January 20, 2013 1 Comment
Anders Øvergaard has “been working with film [his] whole life”. Recently he got his hands on the Nokia Lumia 920 in which he solely used to record Finland band As We Reach For The Sky. The band in the video performed a live session at their studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, while Anders filmed. Take a Look Below:
Nowadays, you can shoot some incredible nice videos with even your cellphone! I was lucky to borrow the new Nokia Lumia 920 to test the camera and see how well it performed when shooting video. Normally a camera would need a lot of light to make nice pictures and videos. In this video we didn’t use any strong lights (see behind the scenes for more info!), but since the camera in the Nokia Lumia 920 has a nice Carl Zeiss lens with aperture at f2 and the new PureView technology, it was exciting to test it out. I shot everything with both a steadycam and handheld, since the camera got a image stabilization inside the lens. The sound was recorded live by several microphones (not the cellphone) and added in post.
Great video and superb quality! In making the video to Anders surprise the video quality came out beautifully as he informs the folks at Nokia Conversations. “I work on a really hi-res 27-inch iMac. But when I downloaded the video for editing, I couldn’t really see much difference between the output from the Lumia 920 and the Canon 5D DSLR I usually use.” Just phenomenal and amazing in what the Lumia 920′s Carl Zeiss lens can pull off if you know what your doing…MBGW
