Asus Planning Padfone Concept Running Windows Phone 8

January 17, 2013 1 Comment

Asus is planning to jump on the Windows Phone train and might possibly be bringing its Padfone concept along for the ride. Benson Lin, corporate vice president of mobile communication products at Asus states that Asus is “interested in making Windows Phones” and that the padfone “makes sense for Windows 8”.

Would be a really cool device to have to turn your Windows Phone into a tablet when the occasion arises. Would be even more interesting if Asus and Microsoft can find a way to get a little bit of Windows 8 goodness on the tablet side of things.

Either way, it would be a win for the Windows Phone ecosystem.
