HTC Posts Lowest Fourth Quarter Since 2004 (Net Income )

January 7, 2013 1 Comment

HTC has posted their worst 4th Quarter since 2004. The Taiwan-based company stated recently that their net income for the quarter was only $1 Billion dollars. That is only a shadow of the $10.9 billion they did Q4 last year.

Jeff Pu, a Taipei-based analyst at Fubon Financial Holding Co. in Taipei

“HTC’s operating margin barely met expectations and December sales were below what many expected,”

“It’s due to non-operating items that net income was as high because some models were not selling as well in the U.S. and China.”

Hopefully HTC can turn things around as they focus more on Windows Phone.
