Tele2 Sells Out of Lumia 920′s – Wants More to Sell – Nokia Stock JumpsDecember 12, 2012 2 Comments
Good news for Nokia and the Windows Phone ecosystem. Tele2 has run out of Nokia Lumia’s two weeks before Christmas and they are looking to receive more.
Thomas Ekman, head of Tele2 Swedish operations
“We sold out of the Lumia and hope to get more before Christmas,” Thomas Ekman, head of Tele2 AB (TEL2B)’s Swedish operations
After that news broke, Nokia’s shares jumped up 2.4 percent.
Now we all know that supply has been low from Nokia as far as the new Lumia 920 and 820 are concerned (especially overseas). The low quantity of handsets available for sale are prompting many of the ‘sold out’ announcements. However, I believe that demand will continue to exceed quantities as long as Nokia can ramp up production before the excitement dies down.
