New Windows Phone 8 Version of Whatsapp Coming This Week

December 12, 2012 1 Comment

Recently Whatsapp for Windows Phone was updated but still not available for Windows Phone 8 users. Soon after we learned that the new version of Whatsapp would be a dedicated Windows Phone 8 version and it would be 6x faster than the 7.x version and would include new emoji to choose from.

we spotted screenshots of a Whatsapp application specifically aimed for Windows Phone 8 earlier this year.

Now there is word that the app will in fact be available by the end of this week.

Developers

“In response to your concern, kindly note that The WhatsApp Messenger application for WP8 phones is being updated to a newer version and it will be available in the Microsoft Store by the end of this week so its better to wait for it as the application you have downloaded from www.windowsphone.com is not compatible with Lumia 920.”

We will let you know when the Windows Phone 8 version hits Windows Phone Store.
