Microsoft Finally Shipping Surface RT to Other Retailers?

December 7, 2012 1 Comment

Looks like Microsoft is through coddling the Surface as reports are coming in that Microsoft may begin to ship the Surface RT to other retail stores as soon as ‘a few days’. Until now, the tablet has only been available at Microsoft stores and online.

It seems that retailers over seas will be seeing the first shipments of the device and US shops might be getting it early January 2013 alongside the debut of the Surface Pro.

It is always a good thing to open the channels and have more folks trying to sell your stuff. Being able to sell your product online is great but most people still like to get a feel for the product before they purchase it and Microsoft Stores are still very few and far between. I really hope Microsoft pushes the envelope even further and delivers the Surface to US retailers by the end of this month. It would be great to have it on sale in more places as folks run through random shops trying to get the perfect gift at the last minute.
