AT&T Ralph de la Vega: Lumia 920 Selling “very well”

December 5, 2012 1 Comment

We still have no idea how many Windows Phone 8 devices have sold. When the devices first launched, we were excited to see that many stores were sold out of devices, especially the Lumia 920.

Still, we have no solid proof of how well the phones really did.

AT&T CEO, Ralph de la Vega has given us a glimpse however, when he recently stated that the Lumia 920 has sold ‘very well’. He also added that inventory was tight for Lumia phones.

With AT&T reporting 6.4 million smartphones sold in only two months, we can only hope that a size-able chunk of that was Windows Phones.

If we take after the demand .. at least 60% should be Lumia 920 Devices.

If we take after supply chains, displays, glass, Nokia… then only 100 devices per Store. 100 Countries * 100 cities * 10 stores * 10 Phones (average)… only 1 mil Phones.

    I guess AT&T could sell 15-20% … 1mil – 1.2 mil Lumia 920.
