Telstra: Lumia 920 “demand was beyond amazing”

November 14, 2012 2 Comments

Nokia’s Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 device will now be much harder to get as Telstra has already gone through all of its pre-orders. Now customers wishing to get the 920 will have to find select stores on November 27th for a chance to grab one.

Telstra tweeted:

Due to strong demand, pre-order stock for Nokia #Lumia920 has been exhausted. Ltd stock will be in select stores from 27 November #wp8au

we did our best but demand was beyond amazing and stock has been limited globally from Nokia.

A good sign of sales for sure in Australia for Nokia and Microsoft but on the downside, hopefully no future Windows Phone users were lost since it isn’t readily available.

Just because you don’t have much experience with Chinese production (three nokias I have here were made in Hungary, Finland and Germany), GET THE CONTRACTORS ON THEIR FEET.
For once, learn from Apple and get them work faster and fulfill the wishes of the many people wanting to buy your handsets!

That you will be launching the 820 and 920 in many major markets only in 2013 is bad enough, atleast deliver the markets you are serving now with enough devices!
