Microsoft Surface Gets Run Over by Several Cars – Not Broken & Still Works

November 12, 2012 4 Comments

The Microsoft Surface pictured above looks like it has been through some tough times. It however represents a device that has gone through so much more. It was actually run over by several cars going full speed and it is still not only in working condition but only showing a few bumps and bruises.

The owner of this Surface tweeted the following:

“@surface My Surface got ran over by a car going 60mph yesterday! I’m tweeting from it right now! INCREDIBLE build quality!”

He also wrote:

Each car passed by with the tires on each side of the Surface until the very last car. The tire of the car ran completely over the Surface and next thing I saw was my brand new $700 tablet and touch cover flying through the air in separate directions! My heart jumped, and so did I! I jumped out of my car and ran across the street to first grab the tablet, then the Surface, and then my phone which of course fell out of my lap during all this. I jumped back in my car just before 60 mph traffic made its way to me!

I would like to see an iPad survive all of that.

I’m sure it can survive being driven over, but I just don’t buy this story. How can all of that fall out of his “lap” whilst being in a car, and end up on the road?

Hey just saw this article! (incredible how many sites are seeing this)
I had forgotten it on my roof, the article probably should have linked my actual thread.

Doesn’t help that it says “run over by several cars going full speed.” I’m not really sure how the author wrote that, given the souce clearly disagrees, and “run over by one car going 60mph” would’ve been far more appropriate and truthful.
