From Sinner To Saint..A Windows 8 Reviewers Experience
October 25, 2012 2 Comments
Back on March 5th, 2012 Tech Contributor, Matt Baxter-Reynolds,from The Guardian and ZDNet reviewed the Windows 8 Consumer Preview with many many harsh words to say. In his article “That Windows 8 experience? Confusing. Confusing as hell” he says this:
“My prediction: no one will ever make sense of trying to run Metro-style and classic apps together on a PC. The PC will remain the PC and will remain the domain of the classic desktop. There’s a reason we stopped dropping out of Windows to run Lotus 1-2-3.”He later writes
“Windows 8 is really hard to get used to. Really, really hard. “
Now in is recent article “Don’t hate Windows 8!“
He does a complete 360 180 and writes
“Windows 8 takes a lot of getting used to, but it’s the best OS made by Microsoft, and could be the best OS ever made by anyone...”
later in the same article
“Sit back, relax, and in a few weeks I’m sure you’ll be loving the whole Windows 8 groove. And definitely, definitely don’t downgrade if you buy a new machine with Windows 8 pre-installed. You’ll be missing out on a fantastic operating system.”
So what changed his opinion? He simply states “time” as the main contributor. His story from gloom to glory will be the same for most user in my opinion. If you aren’t in love with Windows 8 as the many that already are..give it time folks..give it time.Windows 8 is that deal….mbgw
