Almost Half of US IT Managers Surveyed Plan to Jump on Windows 8, Win RT and Windows Phone 8October 16, 2012 1 Comment
ThinkEquity recently surveyed 100 US-based IT managers, CIOs, technology vice presidents and IT directors, from various parts of the industry. They found that almost half of them are already planning to push ahead and standardize their company’s mobile platform on devices running Microsoft operating systems. This includes Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Phone 8.
Even better is the fact that 75% of them worked for companies that have more than 500 employees.
“With this continued confirmation of this surprising finding six months ago, we have increasing confidence that [Microsoft] is well positioned to leverage its Office franchise to perhaps continue to dominate the corporate PC environment as the platform shifts from desktop/laptop to mobile device,” – ThinkEquity financial analyst Yun Kim
It looks like Windows 8 is already effecting the mindshare on Windows Phone
