Version of Nokia Lumia 920 for Verizon Already in Testing? (922?)

It looks like Nokia has a lumia 920 in the works for Verizon after all. @NokiaPureView on twitter has been talking up the 9XX device saying how it is in testing and the company doesn’t want them sharing pictures taken with it. They also spoke about how the device looks like the 822.

Nokia writes, “lumia 9XX for verizon so beautiful ” and laments that it can’t share images of the handset because “@selop don’t want us to take photos”. Nokia claims that this phone “look like 920 but looks like thinner and lighter” and that we should expect it to arrive “end of year or 2013 at CES”. Supposedly, the handset is only now undergoing carrier testing

There is no telling if this is true or not but my guess is that will will be seeing a 9xx on Verizon by early 2013.

Wow who cares? By that time, no one wants it. It’s already old news when somethng better is just around the corner and announced with pricing and release dates. This market is about timeing and Nokia failed with an exclusive deal and Verizon continues to fail for being tight lipped.

they want hype for the phone as close to the wp8 reveal as possible because then the OS’s improvements will add to the excitement. and nobody can buy until after that anyways and it gives the people that keep up with the phones plenty of time to decide.

its not a normal ballgame, they need a lot of excitement to get new customers. announcing the phones months ago so they can be forgotten wont boost the consumer base.
